The experience
The music happens up close
MiniMiniature welcomes children and adults into the performance space. The musicians move among them, make eye contact and shape the experience of listening through singing, silence, movement and relationship.
Short songs without words for two voices caress, tease, set things in motion and stir emotion. Suddenly they acquire words and become small tableaux: the sea, snow, a spinning top, a kite, a grain of sand, a palette, a butterfly.
For a moment, words colour music that already lives in the body and in the act of listening, then slip away.

Two experiences that reflect the project's track record
Uffizi Galleries
Since 2021 MiniMiniature has maintained an ongoing collaboration with the Education Department of the Uffizi Galleries in Florence, with activities for children, families and schools.
Because of image-rights restrictions in museum spaces, this collaboration is documented here in text only.
ERT-FVG tours
Between 2021 and 2023 MiniMiniature completed three tours in nurseries and preschools in Friuli-Venezia Giulia on behalf of ERT-FVG.
A model that can be repeated across several venues, with closely scheduled sessions and travel costs shared across the tour.

Essential and flexible
A stage or platform of approximately 6 × 6 metres, with a central area where the audience can gather close to the performers. Lighting and layout are agreed with the host venue.
Close to the children
A room large enough to accommodate the group around an area of approximately 3 × 4 metres reserved for the musicians. Different configurations can be considered.

Three musicians, one shared listening space

Artistic direction, compositions, texts and voice. Musician and music educator.
Pier Elisa Campus
Voice. Musician and music educator, co-founder of the project.
Maddalena Bonechi
Piano. Contributes to shaping the musical and relational form of the performance.
Music by J. S. Bach, E. E. Gordon and Arnolfo Borsacchi. Texts by Arnolfo Borsacchi. The musical choices and the construction of the listening space are inspired by the principles of Edwin E. Gordon's Music Learning Theory.
Collaborations: specific presentations of MiniMiniature have also featured Annalisa Zito (guitar) in Hamburg and Wlad Mattos of Quarteto Gordon (guitar) in Leiria, Portugal.
